We’re a growing tech consultancy that creates user-centred solutions with purpose for our clients in government and business.   The role  The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for supporting the efficient and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations. The role plays a key part in maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring that financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal controls and statutory requirements. ·       Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring correct coding and authorisation ·       Match invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies where required ·       Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs ·       Maintain and reconcile supplier statements, investigating and resolving queries promptly ·       Set up and maintain supplier accounts, including bank detail verification ·       Handle supplier queries via email and telephone in a professional and courteous manner ·       Support month‑end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations ·       Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as required ·       Ensure compliance with company policies, VAT rules, and financial controls ·       Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function   Essential experience   ·       Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance administration role ·       Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy ·       Good numeracy skills and confidence working with financial data ·       Experience using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel ·       Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines     Desirable experience   ·       Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Workday, Sage, SAP, or similar ·       Understanding of VAT and purchase ledger processes ·       Studying or interested in studying AAT or a similar finance qualification     Personal Attributes   ·       Well organised with a proactive approach to problem‑solving ·       Comfortable working as part of a team while able to manage own workload ·       Flexible and adaptable in a fast‑paced finance environment ·       Committed to continuous improvement and learning   Salary £27,000 - £34,000 What our offer includes A competitive pension, health cash plan, share options and discretionary bonus.
